Oxford Mail - Musical concert to raise cash

A CHURCH in Oxford was filled with the sound of music as part of its Music on Mondays event.

St Michael at the Northgate Church became a stage for Kazakhstan-born Dina Duisen who performed pieces by Bach, Haydn and Mazurkas to a sold-out audience.

Ms Duisen said: “It was a fantastic performance and I really enjoyed playing.

“I’m also really pleased that my ticket sales raised £180 for the International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove, which teaches up and coming musicians.”

Ms Duisen started studying piano at Kulyash Bayseitova State Special School for Gifted Children in Kazakhstan together with her two brothers Ordabek and Ilyas, who are both violinists.
